Good afternoon Troy,
I just wanted to thank you and your men for the outstanding job
you did on the props on my 3685 Avanti. The boat always seemed smooth,
but there is a marked difference in it at both low and high speeds.
It also has picked up approx. 2 knots on the top end. I think the
re-pitch and also the cup that you added has made a big difference
in overall performance. I will recommend your services to anyone
at our marina that is in need of prop overhaul.

Thank you for your help with the selection and purchase of our new
Veem wheels for my 61' Shearline. They are everything I had hoped
for, as we saw an additional three knots at top end and a significant
reduction in vibration. We're also pushing a cleaner wake and burning

Hey Troy,
Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the tour of your
shop the other day. Needless to say, I was impressed with all of
the hardware and 'software' that it takes to do your job. It is
truly a marriage of technology and brute force. I enjoyed talking
with you in the back shop and I appreciate the extra time you always
take to make sure that even thickheaded guys like me understand
the physics of what we need to do to achieve a certain level of
performance in regard to our propulsion. I walked out feeling like
I should've been carrying a diploma...Seriously though, your service
is second to none and I know that the guys you serve in the fleet
down here really appreciate the extra effort you give to keep us
all rigged up. I am itching to run these new ZFs and I'll let you
know how they feel and perform as soon as I get this steering cooler
back on. If they're half as smooth as the old pair you tuned up
for me, I'll be expecting plenty of flatline bites...Take care and

I spoke with you yesterday (Fri.) re. an explaination of your report.

I sea trailed yesterday and I'm very pleased with results. Yanmar
says that the RPM should turn between 3350 and 3450 at WOT. I was
able to get it to 3400. at that RPM , in a mild chop against the
wind, full fuel and water, with only 5% trim, I reached 18.5 on
the GPS. That compares with about 17.2 on fairly flat water last
fall. While I was not looking for added speed as much as attaining
a proper RPM at open throttle You were correct that I should see
more speed.

Dear Troy,
Thanks again for your fantastic service and superior, quality work
on the wheels for the 54' 2006 Hatteras SF with the c32 cats. Here
are the amazing facts: The bubbles behind the boat were
drastically reduced; In slow vessel mode, one engine in
neutral; no longer a no wake violation; At 30 knots,
we went from 125 gal/hr (combined) to 105 gal/hr (combined). That's
a savings for us of 80 gal each fishing trip from
VB. We also increased our wide open under load, RPM's from 2245
to the manufacturer's spec's at 2350. This allows us to cruise at
36-37 knots at 80% load (previous cruise at 80% load was 33/34 knots).

A quick note to thank you for your excellent work over the last
5 years (those being years Wildcat worked on Backlash wheels), we
have placed in the top three (first, second, third) for six tournaments.
The smaller three blade wheels allow us to go slow
for winter rockfish trips. And we like the economy of 20 knots/20
gallon/hr (combined). But I really get excited with the 24x27 ZF
4 blades. Your recommendations were right on: 30 knot cruise,
35 knot top end, zero cavitation,
super smooth and (best of all) fuel economy!!!
Right after we put the 4 blades on in Hatteras, we won the 2007
Hatteras Village Open with a 613# Blue Marlin and another release.
If someone thinks you are too high - don't forget -you are saving
them money on fuel. And that fuel expense is not likely to change!!!

As you know, Pam owned a propeller shop with her Father several
years ago and is very knowledgeable. After talking to you, it became
apparent we should send the propellers to you for rework and to
put your modification on to minimize cavitation. After receiving
the propellers back in a short period of time they were installed.
We immediately found reduced vibration and were pleasantly surprised
at an increase in performance of 2 mph at cruise. Thanks again for

Dear Troy,
I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know the results
of my new
ZF wheel. As you know this is my 3rd
boat I have replaced with ZF wheels. The past boats I have gained
between 1 and 1.5 knots. The last change over was aboard the newest
"waterman" a 57 foot custom carolina sportfish with a
single 2100 RPM , 1000 h.p 3412 cat. My previous wheel ( High Torque
31x32) was replaced with a 32x32 ZF. they both reach approximately
2140RPM's. My old cruise speed at 1750 RPM's was 22.5 knots. The
new speed is 25 knots at 1750. The top end went from 27.5 knots
to over 30 knots. I had two spare wheels that I had reworked by
another company to class 1 and tried them both with nearly the same
results. In addition to the increased speed, I also have a remarkably
smoother boat and I am burning less fuel. Thanks again Wildcat!!

ON AUGUST 15 2008 I CONTACTED ZFS PROPS AN THEY REFERRED ME TO YOUR
COMPANY FOR NEW PROPS. I HAD HIT A SHOAL IN THE 1000 ISLANDS IN

I have been meaning to email you for almost 2 weeks……..
I want to thank you for the great service on my props and the opportunity
to discuss our faith in Christ Jesus. I remain in awe of just how
God works and the people that He places in our paths. Before continuing,
I hope you and your wife had a wonderful celebration on Easter Sunday.
What a great time to reflect on the gift He has given us through
the cross and the promise of eternal life as the tomb is empty.
Let us live each day in victory!
In regards to the props, your team did a fantastic job. We got them
on with the prop speed about 10 days ago, and dropped the boat in
the water last Thursday for the run back around to Rudee. With a
clean bottom and the new props we picked up 1.5 knots at both cruise
and top end!! The boat bounced 35 knots at 3050 rpm/98 % load. Top
speed prior when I picked the boat up new from the factory was 33.5
knots. What I really like is the cruise, better speed, fewer rpms,
smaller fuel burn….. How can I go wrong? And we didn’t
have to use the tabs. I can’t wait to see how they work in
the blue water. Thanks for all of your insight and for asking the
right questions.
Also, I wanted to let you know that we are moving the boat to Hatteras
this weekend. We are getting pumped up about the tuna bite as well
as the blue marlin that will be moving through shortly. I wanted
to let you know because I would really like to invite you and your
guys down for a day of fishing on the Jesus Freak. We are going
to be down there through the end of May. Let me know if you have
a Friday or Saturday that would work, and we can plan on going fishing
for the day. There would be no cost to you, I would just like for
you to experience what we are trying doing, as well as show your
guys we can have a great day of fishing AND be followers of Christ.

Dear Troy,
Picked up the boat yesterday, don't really understand the graphs
are really telling me however:
-The boat is running better than it ever has before
-Old hull speed of about 8 kts was achieved usually around 2200
rpm, yesterday it was about 1400 rpm
-Top speed on the boat since I bought it has been about 13-14 kts
at about 3900 rpm, yesterday I was able to hit WOT at about 4200
rpm with a top end speed (into the wind) of 21.3 kts
Although I don't understand the chart, I do understand the results.
Thanks for the help, and I am sure we will stay on touch.
I will try to get a new speed curve this weekend for a base reference.

I splashed Saint Max yesterday with Wildcat Props on her. All I
can say is WOW. She has never run this smooth. There is absolutely
no vibration through the entire power curve. Also, I am getting
the same cruise speed at a lower RPM than I was with brand new props.
Add to the above that your customer service and attention to detail
are superb as well.
You have a customer for life.

What a job!! I tested the props you repaired for me= this past weekend
and they were perfect=2E I was running 43-35mph= at 5200rpms with
a slight vibration before you repaired them=2E= Now after your repair
I am running 43-45mph at 4400-4500rpms= with NO vibration=2E THANKYOU!
